Clinical Plus provides information about the total number of inpatient and/or outpatient procedures, diagnoses and discharges performed at acute-care, psychiatric and rehabilitation hospitals nationwide, including Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals. Data is adjusted and aggregated to reflect hospital, national, state, integrated delivery network (IDN) and group purchasing organization (GPO) volume counts for all payers projected for 2007, 2008 and 2009.
ICD-9 Procedure, Diagnosis and DRG Discharge
Clinical Plus includes all ICD-9 procedure/diagnosis and DRG discharge codes. It provides a breakdown of ICD-9s by primary and secondary as well as inpatient and outpatient. DRGs include details on length and charge of stay. Clinical Plus information can be linked to DDD sales data as well as to IMS’ Health Care Professional (HCP) databases.
