MII's Clinical Plus data and application provides information about the total number of inpatient and outpatient ICD-9 procedures, ICD-9 diagnoses and DRG discharges performed nationally and at approximately 5,800 hospitals. The data is adjusted and aggregated to reflect state, IDN and GPO volume counts for all payers estimated for the calendar year ending December 31, 2007, with projections for 2008 and 2009.

 

Clinical Plus CD-ROM software includes ICD-9 codes and DRGs for inpatient/outpatient care provided by hospitals across the 50 states, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, American Samoa and the Virgin Islands. It links hospital-specific procedure, diagnosis and discharge data with MII's proprietary HCOS database, documenting profile information and purchasing and contracting affiliations.

 

Easy to use, the application offers a series of pre-built queries, allowing users to generate summary views of the data that export to Microsoft Excel. The application features a calculator, allowing clients to conduct price-sensitivity and market-share analysis.
